Johnny Winter's new album " Step Back " with Band Member Scott Spray on Bass has won the Grammy for " Best Blues " album of the year at the 57th Grammys
" Step Back " also won the Blues Music Award ( BMA ) for Best Blues Rock Album and spent 3 weeks at # 1 on Billboard's Blues charts. 
This release features Scott Spray playing Bass on his fifth Johnny Winter album.

Scott played Bass on Johnny Winter's 2004 Grammy nominated Virgin Records release " I'm A Bluesman " as well as co-writing the title track & " Shakedown " & " Pack Your Bags " for the record.

He played Bass on " True To The Blues / The Johnny Winter Story " on the tracks with Derek Trucks & Vince Gill.

Scott played Bass on Johnny's highly acclaimed album "Roots" on Megaforce Records which also features Edgar Winter, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Vivino, Vince Gill, Sonny Landreth, Susan Tedeschi, John Popper, Derek Trucks & John Medeski. 

Scott Played Bass on Johnny Winter's " Live From Japan " CD as well as appearing and playing in Johnny's " Live From Japan " DVD.


He wrote music & played Bass for HBO's Emmy Award winning TV show " Sex And The City "

Scott played Bass & sang for years on NBC's Emmy Award winning " Today Show " theme and promos & NBC's " Weekend Today " as well as several other ESPN, HBO, CBS, ABC & NBC shows, and the soundtrack for the 1992 Olympic Games which was televised globally.

He played Bass on the soundtrack for Universal Pictures " One True Thing " starring Academy Award winners Meryl Streep, Rene Zellweger & William Hurt. 

Scott also appears in the movie himself playing Bass in the night club scene with Renee Zellweger. As a cast member, he highly recommends this film !

Scott also played Bass on the soundtrack for 61* a film by Billy Crystal.

23 year old guitar pennon who has played with Grammy Winning bassist Scott Spray and Classic Rock Drummer Hall of Famer Bobby T.  He plays with The Bobby T All Stars, Righteous Continental, the amplifiers and he will be releasing a Solo Album sometime in the near future.
